Biography: Getting her start as a child actor by landing a role as Gertie in 1982's "ET." She then performed in films such as "Firestarter" (1984). Unfortunately, the early rise to fame as too much for child-Drew, and she fell prey to drugs and alcohol.
After a long battle through rehabilitation, she went back onto the film screen, but she played more risque roles in films such as "Poison Ivy" (1992) and "The Amy Fisher Story" (1993). She was in a string of films, but none of them made it quite to popularity.
However, in 1996, she landed a role in thriller "Scream." After this, she moved on to play Julia opposite Adam Sandler in "The Wedding Singer" (1998). Continuing in her career, she starred in many films, like "Ever After" (1998), "Home Fries" (1998), and "Never Been Kissed" (1999).
One of her major films was "Charlie's Angeles" (2000) which also starred Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu. She has her own production company, Flower Films, which as helped usher several of her latest films into the mainstream.
