Biography: Appleby originally began her acting career appearing on several television guest spots, but landed her first starring role in WB's/UPN's sci-fi drama "Roswell" which lasted from 1999 to 2001. She played Liz Parker, a teenager who falls in love with Max Evans, an alien from the 1947 crash in Roswell. The cast included Brendan Fehr, Jason Behr, and Katherine Heigl.
The series was cancelled recently, and Appleby has not found a niche for herself. She did have a supporting role in thriller "Swimfan" (2002) playing opposite of Erika Christensen and Jesse Bradford. In 2004, she appeared in the thriller "Undertow" by Jamie Bell and Josh Lucas.
