Biography: Ben Affleck was born in California, but he was actually
raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His parents are currently divorced,
his father a social worker and his mother a teacher. He has a younger
brother named Casey.
One of his first breakthrough performances was in the film that he wrote with
longtime actor friend Matt Damon Good Will Hunting (1997). He has
since starred in such movies as Armageddon (1998, Shakespeare In Love
(1998), and Pearl Harbor (2001). He recently married fellow actress
Jennifer Garner, and the two are expecting their first child, due soon.
