| ABOUT:
Elegance Pixelfied began as an archive of The Download, a daily
online magazine, but soon grew into a large resource for graphic
artists. It began on May 12th, 2002. The Download was sent
out daily with four columns: the download of the day (fonts,
graphics, photos, programs, etc.), participation column (questions,
surveys, etc.), graphic reviews (average of four per issue), and a
question/answer section. The Download sent out 717 issues before
it came to a close, ending on April 28th, 2004 with just over sixteen
hundred subscribers.
Upon the close of The Download, Elegance Pixelfied became its
off-shoot. Instead of acting only as an archive of the magazine's
material, it became the magazine's superior successor.
As such, Elegance Pixelfied's purpose is to help graphic artists by
offering many useful resources. Instead of having to spend hours
searching for high quality photographs, artists can peruse the large
galleries here at EP in minutes and know that all the images have passed
our stringent inspection. Through time, the site has become more
than just high quality photos. It has evolved into providing much
more beyond that with a wide variety in its offered resources.
The purpose of Elegance Pixelfied is to help out its visitors, and
hopefully, it has succeeded in its quest.
